DAY 20 – THURSDAY- 20/3/2025

Reflection: The Greatest Miracle

Bible Reading: Acts 16:25-33
“About midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly, there was such a violent
earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once, all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted, ‘Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!’
The jailer called for lights, rushed in, and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, ‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?’
They replied, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your
household.’ Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. That very night, the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then
immediately, he and his entire household were baptized.”

WHAT IS THE GREATEST MIRACLE IN THE BIBLE?
The Bible records many extraordinary events—things beyond human capability. The Red Sea was parted, the sick were healed, the demon-possessed were set free, and even the dead were raised to life. These all happened when God worked. But are these the greatest miracles?

The Bible records two occasions when heaven rejoiced. It was not because of
healings, resurrections, or the parting of the Red Sea. The first was when Jesus Christ was born. The shepherds saw the angels rejoicing, singing, and praising God at His birth. The second was when a lost soul repented and received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (Luke 15:7).

When Paul and Silas were imprisoned in Philippi, God’s purpose was to bring about the greatest miracle. It was not the earthquake, the prison doors opening, or the chains falling off. The true miracle was when the jailer and his entire household accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. This was God’s ultimate plan. This is the greatest miracle ever—there is no greater one.

When we pray, let us not focus only on asking for healing or physical needs. Instead, pray that this greatest miracle will continue to happen—so that more and more people will find the path to salvation in Jesus Christ. Let this be our burden in prayer.
