DAY 21 – FRIDAY – 21/3/2025

Reflection: God’s Promises in the Restoration of the Nation

Bible Reading: Jeremiah 30: 1-24
Jeremiah 30:3
Indeed, the time will come, says the Lord, that I will restore the condition of my
people Israel and Judah, says the Lord, and I will return them to the land that I gave to their ancestors. They will have it’.

Introduction:
The word Recovery comes from the word PULIH which means return to good and    healthy as before; recover or recover (About wounds, pain, health); be good or new again. For example, people who suffer from a certain disease experience recovery   and return to health called recovery.

Observations:
Jeremiah reports that the nation of Israel is experiencing difficult times in its history. They are still far from their ancestral land, which the Promised Land is given by God  himself. They screamed for help in terror, there was no peace. The men are like women who give birth; holding his waist, exhausted with a paleface. That day was terrible because it was plagued by a very great and long trouble. The point is, peace is gone, and joy is gone. The daily life that befell is oppression, expulsion, persecution, pain and hunger. They have a deep longing for their own home.

However, in such a difficult situation, God does not remain silent. He acted,
prophesying a time for their restoration. God with full mercy in His judgment gave them a ray of hope.

Application:
In application, according to Galatians 3:29, and if you are Christ’s, then you are also Abraham’s offspring and entitled to receive God’s promise. In struggles, whether light or heavy, believers can believe that God is working to restore our lives. We have full confidence that God is sovereign and all things are in the control of God who is powerful.

Struggle, problem, fear, anxiety or anxiety is something that will come at anytime. God promises, He is with us and never leaves us. He promised to join and restore. Even in the end, every believer will say, “We know now, that God also works in everything to bring good to those who love Him, that is, to those who are called according to God’s plan” (Romans 8:28).

Conclusion:
I pray and thank God for his grace so that I can be called a descendant of Abraham. I pray that there will be a massive spiritual recovery for every believer in Malaysia and especially the indigenous community in spirituality, economy and relationships.

Prayer Focus:
1. Unity and Understanding: Divine Creator, mend the rifts dividing our nation. Foster empathy and understanding between all people. Guide us to see each other’s humanity and work together for the common good (1 Corinthians 12:25)

2. For Wise Leadership: Gracious God, grant wisdom and discernment to our
leaders. Fill them with courage to make righteous decisions and a heart to serve the people they represent (Proverbs 29:2).
