DAY 22 – SATURDAY – 22/3/2025

Reflection: The Time of the Restoration of All Things

Bible Reading: Acts 3:21
“The Christ must stay in heaven until the restoration of all things, as God said through His holy prophets in the past.” (Acts 3:21)

Introduction:
Have we ever imagined what this world would be like if all nations lived in peace,
truth, and God’s glory? Right now, we see nations experiencing a moral, social, and    spiritual crisis. Many people lose hope because of injustice, war, and the destruction of the values of truth. However, the Bible speaks of the promise of restoration that    will happen through Jesus Christ.

Understanding the Word:
Context Acts 3:21
Peter preached this sermon after healing the paralytic in front of the temple. He
affirmed that Jesus is the Messiah that was prophesied by the prophets, and that He will come back to fulfill the promise of the restoration of all things.
The Meaning of “Restoration of All Things”

In Greek, the word “restoration” comes from apokatastasis, which means “return to the original state.” This shows that God’s plan is to restore the world that has been damaged by sin, as prophesied in the Old Testament (Isaiah 11:6-9, Daniel 7:27).

Dimensions of Recovery:
1. Personal Restoration – Every individual who repents and believes in Jesus experiences spiritual restoration (2 Corinthians 5:17).

2. Restoration of the Church – The body of Christ is prepared to be a holy bride forChrist (Ephesians 5:27).

3. Restoration of Nations – God will judge and restore the nations in Christ’s reign (Psalm 22:28, Isaiah 2:2-4).

4. Restoration of the Whole Creation – The world will be renewed in a new heaven and earth (Revelation 21:1-5).
Applications in Daily Life

How do we as believers play a role in the restoration of the nation?

i)Prayer and Repentance – As it is said in 2 Chronicles 7:14, God will restore the
nation if His people humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from sin.

ii) Be Salt and Light – In Matthew 5:13-16, we are called to bring the influence of truth in the midst of society.

iii) Proclaiming the Gospel – True recovery begins when everyone hears and accepts the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20).

iv) Work for Justice and Peace – Believers should be involved in bringing about social change that reflects the values of God’s Kingdom (Micah 6:8).

Possible Actions:
1. Pray specifically for the nation and leaders so that God restores their hearts.

2. Start changing from yourself by living in the truth and love of Christ.

3.Active in the ministry that brings recovery for the wounded and needy.

4. i mission by preaching the Gospel to everyone, because only Jesus can

Conclusion

The restoration of the nation is not just social or political change, but begins with
spiritual restoration through Jesus Christ. We are called to be part of God’s plan in
bringing light and hope to the world. Let us faithfully await His coming while working for His glory!
“God, use us to be a tool of recovery for our nation. Amen.”

Prayer Focus
1. For Healing and Restoration: Great Physician, mend the wounds of injustice,
inequality, and violence that plague our nation. Bring comfort to the hurting and guide our steps towards reconciliation and lasting peace (Psalm 147:3)

2. For the Vulnerable and Marginalized: Compassionate Father, lift up the voices of the voiceless and defend the rights of the oppressed. Grant strength to those
facing hardship and empower us to be intstruments of Your love and justice (Isaiah 1:17).
