DAY 24 – MONDAY – 24/3/2025

Reflection: It’s Time To Exclaim!

Bible Reading: Jeremiah 33:3
‘Call to Me, and I will answer you and reveal to you great and unfathomable things, which you do not know.’ Jeremiah 33:3

Introduction:
Before we explain this text, let’s first know who Jeremiah was and how the people of Israel were doing at that time. Jeremiah is one of the great prophets in the Old Testament Bible, called by God to deliver His message to the Israelites during a very difficult situation. His ministry lasted for about 40 years, from the reign of King Josiah until after the destruction of Jerusalem in 586 BC.

Observations:
Jeremiah is also known as the “weeping prophet” because he delivered a message of judgment and deep sorrow over the sins of the Israelites and the suffering they experienced.  They have fallen into idolatry, social injustice, and transgression of God’s law. As a result, God allowed the Babylonians to besiege and destroy Jerusalem. Many Israelites were taken into exile in Babylon, and Jeremiah himself suffered rejection and persecution because of his stern and harsh prophetic message.

It is in this context that God gave an extraordinary promise about the restoration of  the Nation of Israel, in Jeremiah 33:1-13. God wants to restore their condition, which seems hopeless, God spoke through the prophet Jeremiah to convey hopeful news, and a call to cry out to God, then there will be restoration, extraordinary joy. God
called Jeremiah and all of us to cry out to Him. “Call to Me, and I will answer you and tell you great and incomprehensible things” (Jeremiah 33:3).

Application:
God emphasizes that in the midst of difficulties and suffering, we are called to come to Him with prayer and supplication. God promises to answer and show us great things that we may not yet understand. In our lives, we often face situations that seem unsolvable. However, God invites us to cry out to Him. Do not hesitate to bring
all our worries and struggles in prayer, trusting that God will answer in an
extraordinary way.

Reflection:
To experience and recovery in our nation (life), then we need to act in these four things:

1. Realize and repent. (Psalm 126:1-2)
2. Make a decision to turn to God. (Psalm 126:4)
3. Walk by Faith. (Psalm 126:5a &6a)
4. Waiting for God’s Time. (Psalm 126: 5b & 6b)
