DAY 29 – SATURDAY – 29/3/2025

Bible Reading: Galatians 5: 1-26
Galatians 5:1 So that we are truly free, Christ has set us free. Therefore, stand firm and do not want to be subjected to the yoke of slavery again.

Introduction:
This text gives a good explanation about living by the Holy Spirit and living by the
flesh (verses 24-25). Apostle Paul explained that living by the Spirit is a free life where we experience a new life that grows, bears fruit and has an impact in Christ (verse 1). The permanent impact of a free life is a life empowered and led by the Holy Spirit, which is a victorious life that defeats all flesh (verse 16).

Observations:
Therefore, the 5 main fruits of living in freedom are the fruit of repentance, the fruit of the Holy Spirit, the fruit of good deeds, the fruit of truth and the fruit of souls (verses 22-23). God plans our life to be a fruitful life to serve others; contrary to living in pursuit of success based on living for self-interest.

Application:
The purpose of spiritual life is to develop continuously into adulthood. Our main     focus is working on our salvation with the help of the Holy Spirit; namely: a) always seek God’s face, b) be inspired in His presence to serve souls, c) develop souls into adulthood.

This text reveals a gap in the spiritual fall of a believer because of living according to lust and the flesh (verses 19-21). Therefore, we must prune and cleanse our lives of  all this flesh until there is a total recovery.

Galatians 5:19-21 The works of the flesh have been revealed, namely: fornication,
impurity, lust, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, discord, envy, anger, self-interest, malice,
spirit of malice, drunkenness, debauchery and so on. Against all of these I warn you– as I have done before–that whoever does such things, he will not have a share in the Kingdom of God

Conclusion:
In conclusion, a life led by the Holy Spirit is a life of constant association with the Holy Spirit, walking with Him and cooperating with Him to expand His Kingdom. The meaning of a spiritual awakening is to have a sensitivity to life led by the Holy Spirit.

Prayer Focus:
1. For Revival and Awakening: Holy Spirit, breathe new life into the hearts of people all over the world. Create a new hunger for You in every nation. Let Your
presence be felt strongly, turn hearts towards Your light and ignite the fire of faith that changes lives and society. (Acts 2:1-4).

2. For the sake of Justice and Mercy: Just God, we cry out to demand justice for the oppressed in every nation. Expose corruption and tear down strongholds of
injustice. Let Your mercy flow freely, bringing comfort to the suffering and inspiring acts of mercy among all. (Micah 6:8)
